Do I consider myself to be a writer? I do. But not in the sense that most people would consider me a writer. I write, to express emotion, to express unspoken feelings. I believe that writing is the only way to get across emotions so that you can try to solve a conflict. If things are written down, you can more easily imagine others’ perspectives.

Writing in itself is a voyage of discovery, of revelation. Where oneself can begin to process the reasoning behind their own emotions and sometimes even others. Some people don’t believe that writing can help you see into other’s perspectives. They think, “How can something I write makes me understand their perspectives?” When words are written it allows people to think deeper into the language use and body language of others.

When I write, not only do I express emotion, I also write to showcase others’ reactions to things. Some people do not understand how writing can affect them. I’ve shown many people how just writing down even simple things can help them feel better. Whether it be their emotions, how the day went, or even grades and teachers. Being able to see things written out is the best way to get things done.
